Dr. Carlos Singer, Division Chief Parkinson and Movement Disorders, University of Miami

South Florida Eastern Corridor
Members (and friends) of the South Florida Eastern corridor Support Group met on Saturday, the 25th of October, 2014, for brunch and a lecture by renowned professor of movement disorders at the Leonard Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami, Dr. Carlos Singer. [See picture] Dr. Singer focused on three areas: the relationship of Meige Syndrome to Blepharospasm, the branches of Dystonia, and the need for and efficacy of Myectomy for patients with Apraxia. A lively question and answer session followed his lecture.
The meeting was attended by one of the largest groups we have had in recent memory. Members present included: Joan Amadeo (Alex), Betty Brannock, Area Rep Marcia De Fren (Burt), Marilyn Echlov, Marilynn Finz, Donna Hodis (Mel), Gladys Krayeski, Anne Nichols, Daisy Patino, Rolando Perez (Lissette), Jim Reinhardt (Carol), Claudia Riccioti, Bunny Sidman (Marty), and Maureen Smith.
