Glenview, IL Support Group Meeting 9-21-14
A support group meeting was held on Sept. 21st at Dr. Adam Cohen's office in Glenview. Dr Cohen spent 45 minutes explaining all about the different Dystonias as well as recent research and methods of treating the different Dystonias. We also had Matt Bourke from MERZ share wonderful information about reimbursement programs and discussed the advantages of using Xeomin. He brought excellent and informative packets which he gave to us and provided a lovely lunch for all in attendance.
Both Dr. Cohen and Mr. Bourke answered many excellent questions at the end of their presentations.
I took a few minutes and shared information about the 2014 Symposium and encouraged everyone to go to the BEBRF website and watch the fascinating and information lectures that were given.
Additionally, we had Connie Secor, our new Area Rep, participate via Skype. I would like to open ALL of my Support Group Meetings in the future to ANYONE who would like to attend a meeting and is unable to do so in person. All they need is a computer or tablet that is in a WIFI area and has a camera.
